Plans and billing

Which Stock Monitor plan do I need?

Short answer

Settings, then Plans, shows your monitored SKU count and recommends the smallest plan that can cover it, counting extra SKUs up to the cap. A plan with more included SKUs can cost less than extras on a smaller one, so compare the totals.

What does each plan cost?

Prices are in US dollars and billed by Shopify every 30 days. New subscribers get a 7 day free trial.

  • Basic, $30: 1,000 SKUs included. Extra SKUs cost $0.01 per extra SKU per 30 days, capped at $20 per 30 days.
  • Basic+, $45: 3,000 SKUs included. Extra SKUs cost $0.0125 per extra SKU per 30 days, capped at $15 per 30 days.
  • Advanced, $60: 5,000 SKUs included. Extra SKUs cost $0.015 per extra SKU per 30 days, capped at $75 per 30 days.
  • Advanced+, $100: 10,000 SKUs included. Extra SKUs cost $0.0175 per extra SKU per 30 days, capped at $175 per 30 days.

With its cap, a Basic+ store pays at most $60 in 30 days, the same as the Advanced price. For how extra SKUs are counted and charged, see how monitored SKUs are counted and charged.

What does every store get today?

Whichever plan you are on, Stock Monitor currently gives every store up to 365 days of stock history, up to 10 report recipients, up to 100 products per notification and advanced analytics. The plans differ in price, the SKUs they include and the extra SKU charge. If the Plans screen shows different figures for each plan, what applies to your store today is what is written here.

Which plan fits my SKU count?

Your SKU count decides which plan fits. The Plans screen shows how many SKUs are counted for billing and recommends the smallest plan that can cover them once its extra SKUs are counted up to the cap. It switches off the button on plans that cannot cover them. A plan with more included SKUs can cost less than extra SKUs on a smaller plan, so compare the totals before you choose. Two numbers help you compare:

  • The most you pay in 30 days is $50 on Basic, $60 on Basic+, $135 on Advanced and $275 on Advanced+.
  • The most SKUs a plan can cover is 3,000 on Basic, 4,200 on Basic+, 10,000 on Advanced and 20,000 on Advanced+.

How do I choose or change my plan?

  1. In Stock Monitor, choose Settings, then Plans.
  2. Read the Recommended plan message, which is based on your SKUs counted for billing.
  3. Click Select plan on the plan you want.
  4. In the Confirm plan box, check the price, the SKUs included and the extra SKU terms, then click Continue to Shopify.
  5. Approve the plan on Shopify’s page. Shopify shows the final charges before you approve, and you come back to Stock Monitor afterwards.

Your current plan is marked Current plan on the Plans page. A new plan replaces it straight away. If you have no active plan, Stock Monitor opens on the Plans page and asks you to select one before you can use the app.

How do I cancel my plan?

Uninstall Stock Monitor in Shopify. Before you do, read what happens to your data.

How does the free trial work?

The 7 day trial is for stores that have never had a Stock Monitor subscription. If you change plan during your trial, the days you have left carry over. Once you have started a subscription, a later plan has no trial, and reinstalling the app does not give you a new one because Shopify keeps the app’s subscription history for your store.

What if no plan covers my SKUs?

Above the most SKUs any plan can cover, the plans page says you need a custom plan and offers a Contact us button that opens an email to us. You can also ask for help any time.

Note

If your current plan is not one of the four above, the plans page cannot change it. Email [email protected] and we will help.
